Staff & Clergy

Meet our Staff and Clergy!

Click on the images below to find out more about the folks working in front of and behind the scenes to sustain and grow St. John's ministries in the city and the world, shaping each week's liturgies, designing and teaching classes, taking care of our building, caring for parishioners of all ages, giving back to our neighbors, and being involved in our surrounding community in a wide range of ways.

The Reverend Marisa Sifontes

Associate Rector

Marisa joined the staff of St. John’s in July 2021. She is ordained as a Transitional Deacon in the Episcopal Church.

She is a graduate of Candler School of Theology at Emory University, where she was awarded a Master of Divinity and an Episcopal Studies certificate, with concentrations in Scripture and Interpretation and Justice, Peacebuilding and Conflict Transformation (JPACT).

Prior to attending seminary, Marisa worked as a lawyer. In her current role, she is excited about assisting St. John’s in its work as the hands and feet of God in the world. She is always happy to help connect those interested with our many ministries, and looks for ways to build authentic relationships as the basis of our mutual ministry.

Marisa has two grown children, Cole and Max. She enjoys gardening and cooking, loves board games, and will travel almost anywhere if given the opportunity.
