Michael Milam has served as minister of music since 2022 and has served as assistant minister of music since 2000. He is in his 26th year as a music educator in Botetourt County Public Schools, where he serves as music specialist at Cloverdale Elementary School and Troutville Elementary School and also serves as Elementary Fine Arts Lead Teacher. A native of Princeton, West Virginia, he holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music education from Concord University and Virginia Tech and has taught music at all levels, preschool through college. He holds Level III Orff Schulwerk certification with additional master class experience. Mike has been involved in church music since high school. Prior to coming to St. John's, he served as organist at Raleigh Court United Methodist Church and Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church.
