Beloved Community: What is it? Why Does it Matter?

Led by Dr. Jennifer Berenson and the Rev. Marisa Sifontes
January 9, 16, 23 with optional Zoom sessions on Tuesdays at 6p.m., January 11, 18, 25

Join us for a 3-week discussion on what it means to be beloved community, and how we are charged to help create a world where all people may experience dignity and abundant life and see themselves and others as beloved children of God. For those wishing to continue the conversation, or unable to participate on Sundays, we’ll have an optional session each Tuesday via Zoom to go deeper.

Jennifer Berenson is a professor and chair of the Department of Religion & Philosophy at Roanoke College. She is a member of the Becoming Beloved Community Guiding Team for the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia and the Becoming Beloved Community Guiding Team at St. John’s.
