Outreach Challenge 2018: Help Us Meet a $20,000 Matching Grant

We’ve nearly reached the end of our 126th year of ministry from our corner of downtown Roanoke. For the last 12 of those years, a generous and anonymous parishioner has promised to match all contributions to the St. John’s outreach fund up to $20,000.

So we extend that invitation to you! Whatever you give - $1 to $1,000, and anywhere in between or above – will be doubled. That means your gift has a little more power to change lives here and away.

Here’s a look at some of what our outreach gave over the past year, by the numbers:

We housed families at the Light House for 11 weeks through Family Promise of Greater Roanoke.
We celebrated 20 years partnership with Kimoyo and 20 years of hosting Community Youth Program (CYP).
We gave 467 grants to nearly 1,100 individuals through T.R.U.E. (Temporary Relief for Unexpected Emergencies).
Our medical clinic in Ghana, built with Kingdom Life Ministries, saw 10,732 patients January through October 2018.
Kimoyo’s soccer literacy program served 125 junior-high-aged girls from four villages.
The microloan program gave grants to 30 women in the last six months and some of those grant recipients are about to open a bakery in Ghana.

These are the projects your generosity makes happen. Send your gift to St. John's this month and help change lives.
