The Gathering is a relaxed evening of worship, fellowship, and learning. Come as you are and encounter Christ in the midst of this unique Christian community. During the summer, we have the Gathering worship service with no meal or Christian education afterwards. The Sunday Supper as well as Youth and Journey Groups takes place after The Gathering Eucharist.

5:00 p.m. ~ The Gathering Eucharist

The Gathering experience begins with worship at 5:00 p.m. Using Anglican worship resources from Ireland, Scotland, and New Zealand, this acoustic communion service has an entirely different feel from our morning worship services. The Gathering Band (which includes acoustic guitar, flute, violin, cello, mandolin, and sometimes even melodica!) leads us in singing traditional and new arrangements of hymns from The 1982 Hymnal and also modern Christian music that reflects the Gathering’s ancient-modern style of worship.  Click here to listen to a sample of the Gathering Music.

5:45 p.m. ~ Sunday Supper

The Gathering service lasts about fifty minutes, and everyone is invited to stay for a substantial, and delicious meal prepared and served by Sunday Supper Teams, made up of members of the congregation. No reservations needed. $7 for adults, $5 for children, $20 max per family.

6:15 p.m. ~ Journey Groups and Youth

This fall, connect with a small group over the course of nine weeks — share spiritual and life journeys with other parishioners in one of our new small groups! Knitting and the Book of James study group meet on Wednesday evenings; come on Sundays to the Gathering at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday Supper at 5:45 p.m. and stay for one of our other groups, 6:15-7:15 p.m. The child care center is open and youth group will also meet during this time.

Youth on Sunday Nights
Middle School: In addition to games and fellowship, youth grades 6-8 will follow a curriculum called Echo The Story, journeying through the Bible over 36 weeks, from Genesis to Revelation. Lessons are taught using videos, sketch journals and discussion.
High School: Youth grades 9-12 join together for fellowship, followed by discussion of current events through the scripture, using a web-based curriculum called the Wired Word.
